Jasmine "Kookie" Daniels is a long time performer and dancer. Kookie has been dancing since the age of 10. Kookie was not always the front runner, first draft pick or audition favorite. Kookie often speaks about being larger in size during her younger years and not seeing herself as “talented”. Kookie studied Katherine Dunham technique, music and acting for nine years until high school. Her first studio was "ETA creative arts performing center" in Chicago. Once in high school, Kookie danced on many local city Chicago dance groups, The Chicago steam basketball dance team & other dance programs. Kookie then went on to be accepted as a junior in high school, into a high school program to study ballet with the top Ballet company in the world "The Joffrey Ballet". Kookie has traveled around the world to train in the art of dance & she used all her training to develop her own style & Techniques.
Kookie always loved to dance even after being told "No" so many times at auditions and contest. Kookie then went on to college where she wanted to study dance but went on to study sociology and Spanish. She decided to focus on dance towards the end of college and she was the head coach of the dance team at her college. Kookie shortly before graduating college in 2014 began her classes at a nearby studio near her home, where she had "Zero" students for the first 6 months having her class. You would think she would have quit right? Nope, she decided to keep having classes and promoting them that one day someone would enjoy it and the word would spread! She was right! Her classes shortly took off after a small buzz started! She now offers 5 classes, choreography, one on one sessions and more! Kookie has credits with the Fox T.V show "Empire", numerous plays in Chicagoland and she also works in the daytime as a dance instructor for kids teaching various styles from African to hip hop! Kookie has been a trendsetter to the city of Chicago and her support system is beyond amazing!
